Assessment of attenuation of piezoelectric transducer for measurements of energy absorption coefficients of ultrasonic vibrations in elastic media
Main Article Content
Abstract
On an example of a standard measurement method of attenuation coefficients of ultrasonic waves is considered relevant question of the modern acoustic technique about the influence of the measuring device on the measurement results. It is shown that in processing of measurement is necessary to take into account the transmission characteristics of the ultrasonic used transducer. Failure to do so can lead to serious errors , which can be the basis for the false statements regarding the quality characteristics of the test material. Last convincingly demonstrated on a model.
