Abstract

Original expressions for calculating amplitude factors of normal waves are obtained. These normal waves are excited by a point source with the frequency spectrum in isotropic cylinders. These expressions are the Green's functions corresponding to the normal mode. Score frequency-dependent changes in the Green's functions for the first five normal modes performed. Green's function of the first normal wave more than order of magnitude higher levels than the absolute values of the Green's functions of the second and subsequent line of normal waves is shown. Reasoned assumption that acoustic emission signals almost entirely formed of the first normal wave is expressed. This normal wave at high frequencies in its kinematic characteristics virtually identical to the Rayleigh surface wave.
