Abstract

Flat-panel volume computed tomography (VCT) systems enables imaging of entire organs in one axial acquisition. Higher spatial resolution in such systems can be obtained because of moving patient closer to the digital receptor. It can be used not microfocus X-ray tubes, that is shown at the optical transfer function. Stands for such CT system become simpler. As flat panels reliable, comparatively not expensive CCD sensor array structure with good spatial resolution can be used. 3D image can be formed in radiologist’s mind when revolving object is shown on the monitor’s screen. Enumerated factors make it possible to construct new generation of inexpensive fluoroscopic systems with 3D and CT modes.
