Abstract

Recent preliminary studies have shown that phase distortion of music signals are acceptable for human auditory system when the maximum difference of group delay time in high and low frequencies is less than 70 ms. This value is less than 50 ms for speech signals. In this paper, we obtain a more accurate subjective speech quality assessment and its dependence on the group delay times difference. In addition, the matching maps for the results of objective and subjective assessment of distorted signals quality were obtained. It has been shown that such maps have a pronounced nonlinear character under certain conditions.
